A. R. Grobbo

Pianist and Author

A. R. Grobbo
Raised and educated in Quebec and Ontario, Canada, I spent a number of years working as a news reporter and community editor on suburban newspapers in the Toronto area, and as a business writer for a large international corporation. In 1992 I joined with two other writers in Fergus, Ont. for mutual support in creative writing.  During this time, the ideas for a mystery series developed until, a few years later, I put pen to paper and began to write a mystery novel.  The story featured an imaginary "daughter" who shared my love of music and respect for the written word.  RURAL SPRAWL, the first "Gloria Trevisi Mystery," was released as an e-book through the now non-existent LTDBooks in the spring of 2005, and the second, DOG IN A MANGER, in the fall.  Both books are now available through Double Dragon Publishing, both as e-books and in Trade Paperback.

It has been a struggle, but good friends help.  I love writing cozies, and my third mystery is on the way.

When I'm not writing, I teach piano, keep bees and hang about with my "family," my husband John and my Aussie Shepherd "Luke," and several felines.  Someday, I hope, I'll finish my degree in piano performance.  In the meantime, I thoroughly enjoy living in rural southwestern Ontario and dreaming up mystery plots!
