Patrick Hyde has been a criminal and labor lawyer in Washington,
D.C. since 1982 in a career marked by achievements both as a
federal litigator and a defense lawyer. He tried over a
hundred cases in courtrooms from Pikeville, Kentucky to Las
Vegas and back to Washington, D.C. His legal thriller, The
Only Pure Thing, was endorsed by Michael Connelly and Katherine
Neville, and has since been positively reviewed by Booklist,
Mystery Scene, Library Journal, the Ellery Queen Mystery
